Graduation Celebration

It's that time of the year again for us at the Youth Programs to host our 3rd Graduation Celebration! As a reminder, this is a celebration for all students moving on to their next phase of education. The event is free for students graduating from pre-k, kindergarten, 5th grade, 8th grade, high school, and college.  

Graduates will receive special gifts tailored to their grade, including flower leis, snack leis, ribbon leis, stoles, certificates, and graduation bears. The celebration will feature food and performances, and we strongly encourage families and friends to join in and celebrate this significant milestone!  

Please ensure to RSVP soon as we anticipate a larger turnout this year.  

Additionally, we are excited to announce a special scholarship opportunity for our high schoolers. We will be presenting a $1000 scholarship to one accomplished high school graduate and a $500 scholarship to our second runner-up. To be eligible, the registered graduate must be completing high school and submit a personal statement, proof of senior year grades, and proof of volunteer hours. Award recipients will be notified two weeks prior to the event, and the $1000 scholarship recipient will have the opportunity to present a speech during the celebration.  

Some final reminders: 

- Stoles are free for high school and college graduates but can also be purchased during the event at registration for $20. 

- Ribbon leis are available for purchase at $10 during the event but will be complimentary for middle schoolers all the way to college graduates.

Who can register for this event?

Everyone! We are celebrating every students next education milestone and all ethnicities and backgrounds are welcome. You don’t need to be Filipino to celebrate!

What should we wear?

Graduates are encouraged to wear their caps and gowns or their best dressed!

When should we arrive?

Graduates and their families can arrive at the center as earliest as 11:30! In fact, we encourage early arrival to ensure all graduates and their families can celebrate the whole event and not miss a thing!

What grades can join the event?

For our 2024 Graduation Celebration, we are celebrating all students completing pre-k, kindergarten, 5th grade, 8th grade, 12th grade, and college.

How many guests can I bring?

Graduates can invite as many friends and family as they’d like! We just request that all guests be accounted for when filing out the registration form.

Who can apply for the scholarship?

All students graduating high school are eligible for our scholarship! We encourage that every high school graduate apply :)
