About SBRN
The impact on COVID-19 has been harsh on all of us, including small business, particularly those from marginalized communities like the Filipino Community across the state. Some of our small businesses had to streamline reducing the number of employees, others have closed hoping to re-open again.
To alleviate some of the challenges for our small businesses, the Washington State Department of Commerce developed a program called Small Business Resiliency Network (SBRN) to support equitable recovery for all Washingtonians.
The Filipino Community of Seattle(FCS) has been part of the SBRN since its inception. We have helped more than 20 businesses apply for grants, 11 of whom have received funding. We partner with other small businesses and organizations to provide social media training, legal, and financial workshops.
We have weekly newsletters (“Balitang Negosyante”) to update our members with information about what's happening around the state including the availability of most current grants and low interest loans.
Let us help you at the FCS Small Business Resiliency Network at filcommsea.org Small Business Resiliency Program.
